2026 Lexus RX: Enhanced Technology and Affordable PHEV Options
Lexus has introduced updates to the 2026 Lexus RX lineup, including more standard features, refined controls, and a new entry-level plug-in hybrid variant. The new RX450h+ Luxury model is priced at $105,350 before on-road costs, offering a more affordable option compared to the Sports Luxury variant.
The RX450h+ Luxury comes with additional standard equipment such as adaptive suspension, leather upholstery, a panoramic sunroof, head-up display, and ventilated front seats. The new model aims to provide customers with a wider range of choices and refined innovation.
In addition to the new model, Lexus Australia has also improved the operation of the haptic steering wheel controls and climate control system on RX vehicles produced from September 2025. Hybrid and plug-in hybrid variants now feature a Vehicle Approach Notice system that emits a noise at low speeds to warn pedestrians.
A wireless phone charger is now standard across all variants, and minor price increases have been implemented across the range. The RX450h+ Luxury model offers a balance of features compared to the higher-end Sports Luxury variant, with some exclusions in terms of premium features.
Both RX450h+ models are equipped with a 136kW/227Nm 2.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, front and rear electric motors, and a lithium-ion battery. The total system output is 227kW, with fuel consumption and electric range figures remaining the same for both variants.
The pricing for the 2026 Lexus RX models has been updated, with minor increases across the range. The RX350h Luxury FWD model now starts at $93,550, while the top-end RX500h F Sport Performance AWD is priced at $131,100.
