2026 Toyota Corolla Cross: Unveiling the Price and Performance Specs
The Toyota Corolla Cross small SUV has undergone an update for the year 2026, resulting in a modest price increase along with various specification changes and the introduction of a more distinctive GR Sport variant. The entire refreshed 2026 Corolla Cross lineup was available in showrooms by the end of 2025, with a uniform price increase of $950. The base front-wheel drive GX now starts at $37,440 before on-road costs.
Despite the price increase, the new models come with more standard equipment than their predecessors. All variants now feature HF01234YF refrigerant for their air-conditioning systems and an Acoustic Vehicle Alerting System (AVAS) to notify pedestrians of the hybrid SUV’s presence. Previously exclusive to the Atmos model, the front and rear Parking Support Brake function, which automatically applies the brakes upon detecting an object or vehicle, has been extended to the GX and GXL models.
The GXL model has benefited the most from the update, gaining additional features such as rain-sensing wipers, a surround-view camera, a wireless phone charger, and heated front seats. The Atmos model now includes ventilated front seats, a standard power tailgate, and a heated steering wheel. However, these features are not available on the new all-wheel drive GR Sport, which is priced the same as the Atmos AWD at $50,990 before on-road costs. The GR Sport compensates for the lack of these features with a unique suspension and steering tune and a sportier appearance, including distinctive 19-inch alloy wheels.
All variants of the Corolla Cross have received refreshed exterior styling for 2026, including a redesigned grille. Launched in 2022, the small crossover SUV fills the gap between the Yaris Cross and RAV4 in Toyota Australia’s lineup, alongside the more uniquely designed C-HR. All five of these SUVs, including the larger Kluger, are exclusively offered in Australia with hybrid powertrains.
In terms of pricing, the 2026 models have seen a $960 increase compared to the 2025 models. The breakdown of prices for each model is as follows:

From a drivetrain and efficiency perspective, the Australian-market Corolla Cross is now exclusively offered with a hybrid powertrain following the discontinuation of the base petrol engine in 2024. Front-wheel drive variants feature torsion-beam rear suspension, while all-wheel drive variants come with a trailing arm independent setup.

Servicing is required every 12 months or 15,000km, with the first five services capped at $275 each.

Standard safety equipment across the range includes adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring, lane-keep assist, rear cross-traffic alert, and eight airbags.
The Corolla Cross is available in four trim levels, each with its own set of standard equipment. The GX model includes LED headlights, 17-inch alloy wheels, automatic high-beam, proximity entry with push-button start, and more. The GXL model adds features like ‘high-grade’ LED headlights, rain-sensing wipers, a 10.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and heated front seats.
