2027 Cupra Tavascan EV gets more user-friendly interior, new base grade

The 2027 Cupra Tavascan: What’s New?

The recently updated 2027 Cupra Tavascan has been unveiled to the world, with production set to begin “in the coming weeks.” This latest iteration of the electric SUV boasts a range of enhancements that are sure to pique the interest of car enthusiasts.

One of the key highlights of the updated Tavascan is the introduction of a new entry-level variant, featuring a 140kW ‘Tavascan’ model with a smaller 58kWh battery. Cupra claims this version will offer a driving range of around 435km, making it an attractive option for eco-conscious consumers. This entry-level model will complement the existing 77kWh Endurance and VZ variants.

Despite the lower power output compared to other models in the range, Cupra assures that the base grade’s 140kW rear-mounted electric motor will provide a confident and engaging driving experience while maintaining the Tavascan’s driver-focused character and progressive spirit.

In terms of design changes, the updated Tavascan features a revamped cabin with a new 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and an updated central infotainment touchscreen running on the latest Android-powered software from the Volkswagen Group. The new user interface offers access to new apps and smartphone-like functionality, enhancing the overall user experience.

Additionally, Cupra has introduced vehicle-to-load (V2L) capability to the Tavascan, allowing the vehicle to serve as a mobile energy bank to power external devices such as laptops, e-bikes, or sound systems via an adapter.

Other notable updates include the integration of a proper ‘One-Pedal’ driving mode across all models, an upgraded Sennheiser-branded premium audio system with new Contrabass technology, and the addition of Cupra’s distinctive Dark Void metallic purple exterior paint to the Tavascan’s color palette.
