The Crew 2 Hybrid update brings offline mode to the racer

The Crew 2 Gets Hybrid Mode Update Allowing Offline Play

Last year, Ubisoft announced that both The Crew Motorfest and The Crew 2 would be receiving offline modes. The much-anticipated Hybrid Mode update for The Crew 2 has finally been released by Ubisoft, giving players the option to play the game online or offline. Players connected to the internet can choose their preferred mode, while those offline will automatically launch into offline mode.

It’s important to note that online and offline save data are separate. While online progress can be exported to offline mode, the reverse is not possible. Transferring online save data to offline will overwrite any existing offline progress. This means that any offline achievements that do not match online progress will be lost. Rewards and DLC must be claimed online before being exported to the offline save for use. While Crew Credits balance is included in offline save data, items or bundles exclusive to the online store cannot be purchased offline.

  • Crew Credits purchases (vehicle bundles, vanity items) and the Far & Beyond shop in all 4 Hubs.
  • LIVE Summits.
  • All multiplayer content, including PvP, Crews, crew features, news feed, leaderboards, ghosts, and statistics menus. Only personal best times will be recorded per race.
  • UGC features, such as the Race Creator and Livery Editor. Custom liveries will not transfer to offline saves.
  • Some Hobbies and Achievements that require online-only actions.

As of now, there is no specific timeline for when The Crew Motorfest will receive the Hybrid mode update to enable offline play.
