Prime Time Hoops: NBA Streaming with FanDuel Bet Tracking and Shopping Integration

Amazon is set to revolutionize the way fans experience NBA games on Prime Video starting October 24th with a range of interactive features and personalization options.
Prime Sports will offer a personalized bet tracking experience in collaboration with FanDuel, a customizable multiview feature, AI-driven highlights on demand, live stats, in-game shopping, and more.
Through a lucrative 11-year deal with the NBA, Amazon secured exclusive streaming rights to 66 regular season games and playoff matchups, marking a significant addition to its sports streaming catalog that already includes NFL’s “Thursday Night Football” and live content from various leagues and teams.
Amazon leverages Prime Video to drive subscriptions to its Prime membership program, which provides benefits such as free shipping and streaming services for $139/year.
With the trend of cord-cutting on the rise, sports leagues are increasingly partnering with tech companies as traditional cable deals expire, aiming to attract more subscribers through valuable content like live sports.
Reportedly, Amazon is investing $1.8 billion annually for the NBA rights, reflecting the growing importance of live sports content in the streaming landscape.
Personalized Bet Tracking and Odds View with FanDuel
Amazon introduces a personalized bet tracking experience with FanDuel, offering real-time integration of betting information during live games. Fans can link their Prime Video profile to their FanDuel account to view their active NBA bets on screen, along with progress updates and outcomes. The feature does not support direct betting on Prime Video.
Additionally, an immersive Odds View experience displays live odds, lines, and probabilities for popular bets, enhancing the viewing experience with contextual information related to player and team performance relative to the betting market.
Multiview
Subscribers to Prime Video and NBA League Pass can enjoy a multiview feature, allowing them to watch multiple games simultaneously across various devices. Fans can customize their viewing experience by selecting a primary game for the main window while monitoring other matchups in smaller windows.
Key Moments
The Key Moments feature enables fans to access exciting and pivotal plays in real-time, curated by AI to showcase significant game highlights like dunks and three-pointers. Viewers can relive these moments at any time during the game, enhancing their overall experience.
Rapid Recap
Rapid Recap utilizes AI to compile a two-minute highlight reel, summarizing the most impactful moments of a game to bring fans up to speed quickly before transitioning back to live action.
Stats
Fans can access player and team stats without leaving the live game, including traditional box score statistics and advanced metrics powered by AWS, providing a comprehensive view of the game.
Shop the Game
Viewers can explore NBA fashion items and deals through the Shop the Game feature without interrupting the viewing experience. By searching “shop the game” in the Amazon Shopping app or using the remote’s interactive Shop tab while watching NBA on Prime, fans can discover exclusive offers and products.
