yuv, a leading British beauty technology company, has successfully closed its Series A funding round, raising €10 million ($12 million). The investment was led by Nineyards Equity, with contributions from yuv’s Founder Francisco Gimenez, existing investor VNV Global, and a group of strategic angels.

Francisco Gimenez, the founder and CEO of yuv, expressed his excitement about the funding round, stating, “This milestone marks a significant moment for yuv. With the backing of Nineyards Equity, VNV Global, and our investor network, we are committed to revolutionizing professional hair color through sustainability, design, and technology. Our upcoming initiatives will bring yuv’s innovative platform to more salons and freelancers in the UK and expand our presence to the lucrative U.S. market.”

In 2025, the European beauty and aesthetics sector witnessed noteworthy investment activities, including mid-sized funding rounds for companies like Innerskin and Ray Studios in Paris. While these companies focus on skin health and aesthetic services, they highlight a growing trend of capital influx into beauty and wellness ventures across Europe.

yuv’s Series A funding of €10 million stands out as a unique entry from the UK, emphasizing hardware-enabled, refillable, and software-driven salon technology. This niche approach sets yuv apart in a market that saw limited comparable funding rounds in 2025.

Established in 2021, yuv is a London-based beauty technology firm that is reshaping the professional hair color market with its innovative hardware, AI-powered software, and eco-friendly refillable packaging. The flagship product, the yuv Lab, is a sophisticated dispensing system that offers precise formulations through refillable cartridges and intuitive app controls.

The yuv Lab system, compact and connected to an app, eliminates single-use tubes by using refillable aluminum cartridges, reducing waste while providing customizable formulations at the touch of a button.

Designed for salons and freelancers, yuv’s platform integrates hardware, AI software, and Swiss-designed formulas to deliver customizable, high-performance, and safe hair color solutions.

By combining refillable packaging with intelligent data systems, yuv aims to help beauty professionals enhance creativity, streamline operations, and reduce costs.

The recent funding injection will fuel yuv’s expansion in the UK and facilitate its entry into the U.S. market in 2026. The company plans to scale its patented platform and subscription model to a growing global network of salons and freelancers, aligning with the projected growth of the global salon hair care services market from €174.7 billion ($203.78 billion) in 2025 to €293 billion ($341.67 billion) by 2032.

Eric Sävendahl, Principal at Nineyards Equity, commended yuv’s transformative approach, stating, “At Nineyards, we support companies that redefine their industries. yuv’s integration of hardware, color, and software in a digital platform addresses real challenges faced by salons and freelance hairdressers. We are impressed by yuv’s achievements so far and look forward to their expansion in the UK, U.S., and beyond.”

In a notable television appearance on Dragons’ Den in October 2025, yuv set a new record for the amount of financing offered and valuation achieved in the show’s history, highlighting its strong market position and potential for growth.
