AI Habit Builder First Voyage Secures $2.5M Funding
Revolutionizing Self-Care with Momo: The AI Companion App by First Voyage
In today’s world saturated with AI-generated content, First Voyage, a pioneering startup, is on a mission to help individuals steer clear of the inundation of AI-generated information. Instead, they aim to empower users to cultivate the habits they desire. Their solution? An innovative AI companion app named Momo Self Care.
At the heart of Momo Self Care is Momo, a digital pet that users can nurture. In exchange, Momo assists in reminding users to complete essential habit-building tasks. Users have the flexibility to set reminders for specific tasks, with Momo diligently keeping track and offering gentle prompts. Similar to the popular productivity app Focus Friend, Momo incentivizes users with coins for task completion. These coins can be utilized to purchase various items within the app to personalize the digital pet. Additionally, users can engage in conversations with Momo about self-care, with the AI companion providing tailored recommendations based on individual goals.
Co-founder and CEO Besart Çopa shared that the vision behind Momo is to assist users in their journey towards self-improvement. Users reciprocate by showering Momo with care, affection, and adorable accessories. The company, founded by Besart Çopa and CTO Egehan Ozsoy, recently announced securing $2.5 million in seed funding from prominent investors like a16z speedrun, SignalFire, and True Global.
With over 2 million tasks created on the platform, Momo users are gravitating towards habits centered on productivity, spirituality, and mindfulness. Despite the influx of AI applications and toys flooding the market, concerns surrounding the potential negative impact of these “companion” technologies are on the rise. However, Çopa remains optimistic about the evolving relationship between AI characters and humans. He emphasized the importance of AI apps focusing on wellness and self-care over those catering to primal desires.

Ensuring user safety is paramount for Momo, with built-in safety features like prompt filters to maintain appropriate boundaries during interactions between users and the AI. The recent funding injection will support the expansion of Momo to the Android app store, complementing its existing availability on iOS. The First Voyage team is dedicated to enhancing Momo’s intelligence to deliver more personalized and impactful user experiences.

Çopa envisions Momo evolving into a prominent consumer brand that harnesses AI, animation, and gamification to positively impact countless lives. By focusing on personalization and meaningful interactions, Momo and its growing community aim to redefine self-care and well-being in the digital age.
