Amazon has introduced a convenient new way for customers in the Seattle area to return packages by installing return kiosks at Goodwill stores. This initiative is part of Amazon’s broader strategy to provide multiple return options beyond its own physical locations.

The Amazon kiosks are now available at all Evergreen Goodwill of Northwest Washington stores, with plans to have all 21 locations across five counties operational by the end of the month.

One of the key benefits of this partnership is the increased accessibility for customers, particularly in rural areas where return options may be limited.

The return process at these kiosks is simple and familiar to those who have used Amazon’s self-serve kiosks. Customers can drop off their packages without the need for a shipping box, and there is no cost involved.

Additionally, customers may receive a 20% off coupon upon completing a return transaction, making the experience even more rewarding.

Amazon’s collaboration with Goodwill reflects its ongoing efforts to enhance the returns experience for customers and provide more convenient drop-off locations.

For Goodwill, this partnership not only increases foot traffic but also offers customers the opportunity to donate or shop while visiting the stores.

According to Amazon, the majority of customers in the U.S. have a return drop-off point within a five-mile radius of their homes, further emphasizing the company’s commitment to seamless and accessible returns.

As online retailers face challenges with rising return costs, initiatives like the Goodwill kiosks help streamline the process and reduce overall expenses.
