Apple Joins White House Tech Force as Key Partner
The White House recently announced a collaboration with tech companies to recruit around 1,000 technology specialists for two-year employment terms in various federal government agencies. Apple is one of the companies participating in this initiative, as reported by Mactrast.
This new Tech Force will play a crucial role in implementing artificial intelligence technologies across government agencies and addressing significant technological challenges. The initiative aims to improve technology for the American public and is non-partisan in nature.
The announcement came shortly after President Donald Trump signed an executive order to establish a national AI policy framework, addressing the need for consistent regulations across different states.
The Tech Force website describes the initiative as a group of technology specialists hired by agencies to accelerate AI implementation and solve critical technological challenges within the federal government. The program will recruit both early-career technologists and experienced engineering managers from private sector partners for two-year terms in the federal government.
Apple is listed as one of the participating firms, along with other tech companies such as Adobe, Amazon Web Services, IBM, Microsoft, and more. The program is open to candidates with expertise in software engineering, AI, cybersecurity, data analytics, or technical project management. Compensation ranges from $150,000 to $200,000, plus benefits.
Participants in the US Tech Force program can choose to continue working in the government or return to the private sector after their two-year term. Technology companies participating in the program have committed to considering Tech Force veterans for open positions, providing more opportunities for those who choose to return to the private sector.
The recruitment process for the Tech Force includes an initial application, technical assessment, interviews with agency leaders, and a background check. Interested individuals can apply through the application portal and create a USAJOBS profile. Positions are filled on a rolling basis, so early applications are encouraged.
