Apple Originals Shine at the Grammy Awards
Apple TV+ has made significant strides in the streaming service industry, garnering Emmy nominations and wins, as well as securing the first Best Picture Oscar for a non-traditional studio. The service, now known as Apple TV+, continues to make waves with Grammy Award nominations for two of its flagship originals: F1: The Movie and Severance.
Out of the four nominations, three are attributed to the music featured in Apple’s popular Formula 1 racing film, while the fourth recognizes the overall soundtrack for season 2 of Severance.
The 68th Annual Grammy Awards, scheduled for February 1, 2026, will see Apple competing against renowned artists such as Lady Gaga, Selena Gomez, Tyler Childers, and Shaboozey.
Notable nominations for songs from F1 include Best Dance Pop Recording for Tate McRae’s “Just Keep Watching” and Best Country Solo Performance for Chris Stapleton’s “Bad As I Used to Be.” The complete soundtrack has also been nominated for Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media.
In the Best Dance Pop Recording category, Apple faces stiff competition from artists like Selena Gomez & benny blanco, Lady Gaga, Zara Larsson, and PinkPantheress. Meanwhile, the Best Country Solo Performance category includes contenders such as Tyler Childers, Shaboozey, Zach Top, and Lainey Wilson.
Other films vying for the Best Compilation Soundtrack award include A Complete Unknown, KPop Demon Hunters, Sinners, and Wicked.
On the other hand, Severance stands out as the sole TV series competing against feature films in the Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media category, including titles like How to Train Your Dragon, Sinners, Wicked, and The Wild Robot.

Apple’s Legacy of Recognition
These nominations not only acknowledge Apple’s exceptional productions but also underscore its enduring connection to the music industry.
In a remarkable turn of events, Apple had previously received a Technical Grammy Award in 2002 for its remarkable contributions to the music industry and recording field.
Furthermore, a decade later, Steve Jobs, the legendary co-founder and CEO of Apple, posthumously received a Trustees Award for his pivotal role in pioneering music-related innovations like iTunes, iPod, and iPhone. Eddy Cue, a longtime Apple executive, accepted the award on Jobs’ behalf.
If Apple secures a win next year, it will mark its first Grammy award for a musical piece, mirroring its journey to Emmy success. Apple’s foray into blockbuster theatrical releases could receive a significant boost with a victory for F1. Regardless of the outcome, Apple’s entertainment aspirations continue to soar.
