Apple’s 2026 Product Launches Hindered by Stupidity: A Delayed Release
Apple has been keeping busy in 2026, with the launch of several new products including the iPhone 17e, M4 iPad Air, Studio Displays, and new MacBooks like the MacBook Neo. However, there are reportedly more products ready to go, but they are waiting on one crucial component — the new Siri.
Apple stands out in the tech world for developing its own chips, hardware, software, and services internally, giving them greater control over launch timing. This control, unfortunately, means that if one department, like the Siri developers, faces a delay, it impacts the entire production process.
Several upcoming devices from Apple are currently on hold as they wait for Siri to be ready. The company showcased a smarter, more personalized Siri at the 2024 Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) and was initially expected to release the new features in March 2025. However, delays pushed the deadline to March 2026, and now it seems the features may not be ready until the September release of iOS 27.
Despite internal testing of the new Siri on iOS 26.5, the features have yet to be seen in any beta releases. This delay is affecting the launch of several new Apple products that are waiting for the updated Siri.
According to a recent Bloomberg report, new versions of HomePod devices and Apple TV set-top boxes are in development, but their release is being held back until Siri is ready. Four new products, including a new HomePod, HomePod mini, ‘HomePad’ or ‘HomePod Touch’, and a new Apple TV 4K, are ready to go but are waiting on Siri.
Gurman, a tech analyst, mentioned that the delay in the release of these products is due to the missing Siri features. The new smart displays, rumored to be called ‘HomePad’, are ready to hit store shelves but are waiting for the new Siri software to be finalized.
