Battlefield 6: Conquest Revolution – Enhanced XP and Progression System
Battlefield 6 Reverses Controversial Changes After Community Backlash
Following significant backlash from the Battlefield community, Battlefield Studios has decided to reverse the controversial changes made to the length of Conquest matches in Battlefield 6. In addition to reverting these changes, the studio has also made adjustments to XP and progression, much to the delight of players. This move has been seen as a victory for the community.
Earlier this week, Battlefield Studios implemented a change to Conquest matches, reducing the ticket count by up to 30% in an attempt to shorten match durations and ensure all matches were completed. However, this change was met with widespread criticism from players, prompting a swift reversal. All maps have now been restored to their original 1,000 tickets and 45-minute round timers.
Despite the decision, Battlefield Studios has expressed some dissatisfaction, stating that “on larger maps such as Mirak Valley and Firestorm, this change may lead to longer match durations.” This outcome aligns with the community’s desires for longer matches.
Responding to player feedback for faster progression, Battlefield Studios has made several positive changes. Milestones previously set for after level 20 have been brought forward to the 10s, allowing players to start on class-based challenges sooner. General XP has been increased by 10% for match completion and 40% for Daily Challenges.
The key changes include:
- Match Completion XP per minute increased by 10%
- XP from Daily Challenges increased by 40%
- Reduced XP required to unlock the first 20 Attachment Ranks
- Adjusted Career Rank requirements for specific assignments
The development team has acknowledged criticism regarding certain challenges that set high bars for players, such as healing teammates within contested capture points or achieving specific types of actions. They have reassured players that they are actively reviewing these challenges for future improvements.
These changes mark a positive step forward for Battlefield 6, with players hoping for continued improvements in the future. It’s a promising sign for the community.
