Rookoo Secures €900k in Funding to Expand Platform and Offer Data-Driven Insights

Ghent-based Rookoo, a company that specializes in building digital colleagues for events and hospitality teams, has successfully raised €900k in a recent funding round. The funding will be used to expand Rookoo’s platform, develop new modules for price optimization and capacity management, and provide valuable data-driven insights to its users.

The funding round saw participation from notable investors such as Louis Jonckheere, Jorn Vanysacker, Gilles Mattelin, Jean-Michel Teerlinck, and several others. The round was supported by KBC Innovation Banking and PMV and facilitated through a collaboration with Ghent-based funding agency The Harbour.

CEO and co-founder of Rookoo, Jeroen Borloo, expressed the company’s mission by stating, “Event and hospitality teams spend far too much time on admin. We want them to be able to focus again on experience, creativity, and hospitality.”

In a trend seen across Europe, several startups in the hospitality and events industry have recently announced new funding rounds. Chatlyn from Austria secured €8 million, Toppi from the Netherlands raised nearly €1 million, Nory from the UK closed a €31 million Series B round, and Amenitiz from Spain raised €38.9 million.

Borloo further explained, “By linking conversations with planning and data, we can not only relieve teams but also help them work smarter. Our digital colleague learns alongside the company and evolves with the needs of the team.”

Founded in 2024, Rookoo automates administrative tasks, streamlines communication, and supports teams with planning and price optimization. The founders, Jeroen Borloo, Anthony Meirlaen, Thibaut Vincent, and Jared Dierickx, bring a wealth of experience from their time at Clarabridge and Qualtrics.

Rookoo’s digital colleagues assist in organizing requests, categorizing information, and streamlining communication for the team. The platform is already being used by various organizations including Wintercircus Ghent, Tour & Taxis, Brussels Special Venues, SPIN, and The Arena Group.

With the new funding, Rookoo plans to expand its platform further by developing modules for price optimization and capacity management. The company aims to provide data-driven insights to help organizations plan better and make informed decisions.

Borloo emphasized, “From the heart of the Flemish ecosystem, we want to build a sustainable, scalable solution that pushes the global event sector forward. With our technology, we want to empower teams so they can focus again on what truly matters: creating unforgettable experiences.”

Rookoo is already expanding beyond Belgium with customers in the Netherlands, the UK, and the US. The company will soon launch officially in the Dutch market at EventSummit.
