Belfius has also shown its support for the project. Tinrate’s Seed round aligns with the growing trend of investment in platforms focused on expertise, professional services, and AI-enabled matching in the European funding landscape of 2025. Similar platforms like Ethos, which recently secured €3 million for its AI-driven expert matching network, are also gaining traction in the market.

This influx of capital extends beyond expert marketplaces to include technologies and platforms that support knowledge work and services. Companies like nexos.ai, which raised €30 million to help enterprises manage AI usage, and Parloa, which closed a €310 million Series D round for its AI-based customer service agent platform, are indicative of this trend.

Investor Viktor Verhulst highlighted the importance of securing sufficient resources for innovative platforms in the current market environment. He acknowledged the pressure that comes with the support of prominent investors but expressed gratitude for their belief in the project.

With over 1,000 professionals already registered on the platform, Tinrate aims to revolutionize the way people access and share expertise online.
