BMW i3: Preparing for a Global Debut in 2026
The Exciting Unveiling of BMW’s New i3 Electric Car
Get ready for a big surprise as BMW is on the verge of revealing its latest innovation – the new i3 electric car. Recently, pre-production photos of the 2027 BMW i3 surfaced online, showcasing the vehicle in a completely camouflaged state, leaving enthusiasts eager to see the final design.
From the images captured at BMW’s Munich plant, it’s evident that the i3 is nearing production readiness. Key features like the body, door handles, and mirrors are visible, hinting at what the final product may offer. However, BMW has chosen to keep the suspense alive until the official launch.
The new i3 is expected to follow the footsteps of the successful ix3 electric SUV, known for its 109 kWh battery pack and impressive 500-mile range. With a quick charging capability of up to 400 kilowatts, the i3 is poised to deliver a convenient and efficient driving experience.

Production of the 2027 BMW i3 is scheduled to commence in the second half of the year, with BMW planning to tease consumers with sneak peeks before the official launch. Peter Weber, head of BMW’s Munich factory, emphasized the significance of this project, stating, “For the first time, we have built a BMW i3 entirely at our plant—using state-of-the-art manufacturing technology and digitally connected processes.”
