The Donkervoort P24, the upcoming model from the renowned Dutch sports car manufacturer, is set to make its grand entrance in December. Enthusiasts can also look forward to a high-performance variant, the ‘RS’ version.

Unveiling the P24 RS

Today, our focus shifts to the highly anticipated P24 RS, with intriguing details surfacing about this exceptional vehicle. Donkervoort aims to achieve an impressive power-to-weight ratio of 1:1 for the P24 RS. The heart of this beast is rumored to house a compact V6 engine featuring dry sump lubrication, boasting a staggering output of 700 horsepower. The overall weight of the RS variant is estimated to hover around 700 kilograms.

Revolutionizing Design and Aerodynamics

Leading up to the official launch of the Donkervoort P24, the company has teased fans with insightful videos shedding light on its design and aerodynamic enhancements. Noteworthy changes include a revamped nose, underfloor, and diffuser to optimize airflow, enhance balance, and increase downforce control.

Discussing the meticulous design process, Jordi Wiersma, the Design Lead, emphasized, “Every inch of the bonnet has been strategically crafted to improve airflow, optimizing both intake and exhaust functions. By relocating the exhaust tips to the sides, we can enhance airflow around the front wheels, resulting in superior aerodynamics. In the realm of performance, enhanced aerodynamics equate to weightless horsepower.”
