Bubsy Returns in Bubsy 4D: A New Platforming Adventure Game

Get ready for the return of the wisecracking bobcat as Bubsy makes his comeback in a brand new platforming game titled Bubsy 4D. Developed by Atari and studio Fabraz, the game is set to launch on May 22nd, 2026, across multiple platforms including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and more.

This latest installment in the Bubsy series marks the first 3D adventure game featuring the iconic bobcat since 1996. In Bubsy 4D, players will join Bubsy on a quest to retrieve the stolen Golden Fleece from the clutches of the alien BaaBots. The game takes place on alien planets themed around fabric and crafts, where Bubsy will reunite with familiar faces such as Terri, Terry, Virgil, and Oblivia.

Speaking about his long-awaited return, Bubsy T. Bobcat expressed his excitement, stating, “It’s no secret that I’ve got a questionable track record, but Atari and Fabraz are determined to give me the game I’ve always deserved. This time, my claws are out and I’m ready to show off.”

For those eager to get their hands on the game, the digital version of Bubsy 4D will be priced at $19.99. Additionally, a collector’s edition is available for pre-order on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, featuring a game cartridge, tuck-in exterior box, user manual, poster, and artbook.
