The Bugatti Bolide: A Track Hypercar Like No Other

The Bugatti factory in Molsheim, France, has bid farewell to the final Bolide #40, signaling the completion of production for this exceptional track hypercar.

Designed to push the boundaries of performance, the Bugatti Bolide project commenced in August 2021 with the goal of transforming the ‘What If’ concept into a production vehicle that met the brand’s exacting standards.

The Bolide’s design was finalized in 2022, and engineering was completed in early 2023. During testing at Le Mans, legendary driver Andy Wallace achieved speeds of over 200 mph on the straight.

The final Bolide’s specifications were inspired by the client’s beloved Type 35. Adorned in ‘Black Blue’ and ‘Special Blue Layonnais’ exterior hues, with ‘Lake Blue’ Alcantara interior, reminiscent of his Veyron Grand Sport.

Final Bugatti Bolide-2

The Bugatti Bolide is constructed on a bespoke carbon fiber chassis designed to meet LMh and LMDh regulations, ensuring compliance with FIA safety standards. Its heart is an 8.0-liter W16 engine producing a staggering 1825 hp and 1475 lb-ft of torque, with a dry weight of just 1450 kg, resulting in a power-to-weight ratio exceeding 1100 hp per tonne.
