Bugatti CEO Mate Rimac Tests Tourbillon Prototype in Snowy Zagreb

Bugatti CEO Mate Rimac recently took the Tourbillon prototype for a spin in the snowy streets of Zagreb. A video shared on social media captured Rimac showcasing the hypercar’s capabilities on a snow-covered parking lot.

The Tourbillon prototype, previously stuck on a snowbank, demonstrated its prowess in handling snowy conditions as Rimac expertly maneuvered the hypercar. The video showcased the vehicle’s resilience and agility in adverse weather.

The highlight of the video was the sound of the 8.3-liter V16 naturally aspirated engine located at the rear of the Tourbillon. Despite being slightly muted due to emission regulations, the engine produces an impressive 1000 hp @ 9000 rpm and 664 lb-ft of torque.

Complementing the internal combustion engine are three electric motors, resulting in a combined output of 1800 hp. This powertrain enables the Tourbillon to accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 2.0 seconds and achieve a top speed of over 248 mph.

The video not only showcased Rimac’s driving skills but also highlighted the Tourbillon’s exceptional performance capabilities in challenging winter conditions.
