Blizzard Introduces Decor Duel Prop Hunt Mode in World of Warcraft

Blizzard, the developers behind the popular MMO World of Warcraft, have unveiled an exciting new feature called Decor Duel as part of the upcoming Midnight expansion. This prop hunt mode serves as a delightful diversion from the intense void invasion storyline led by Xal’atath.

During the recent State of Azeroth showcase, Blizzard revealed Decor Duel as one of the many upcoming additions to WoW in 2026. This mode will be familiar to fans of prop hunt games like Garry’s Mod and Team Fortress 2, where two teams of five players compete on a map by either disguising themselves as random items or hunting down hidden players.

The upcoming patch 12.0.5, scheduled to release shortly after Midnight’s launch on March 2nd, will also include void assaults, providing players with opportunities to combat the looming threat of Xal’atath’s forces across the world.

Looking ahead, Blizzard teased the summer update, 12.1, which will introduce a new zone, raid, and season with enhanced content for Mythic+ dungeons, PvP rewards, and more. Additionally, the Friends system will undergo a significant overhaul to improve player interactions.

Furthermore, the post-Blizzcon update 12.1.5 will introduce “Labyrinths,” offering players new mega-dungeon experiences similar to the existing Delves but with unique challenges and rewards. These expansive adventures can be tackled at the player’s pace, providing a fresh gameplay experience.

As the year progresses, players can look forward to a mysterious new mode from the developers who previously worked on popular modes like Plunderstorm and Remix. Additionally, Blizzard has taken steps to reduce gold costs associated with transitioning between gear transmog systems, easing the burden for existing players.
