Comet Browser: Navigating Perplexity on Android
Perplexity Launches AI-Powered Browser on Android
Perplexity has introduced its new AI-powered browser for Android users. The Comet app, now available for download, offers similar features to the desktop version. One notable feature is the ability to access Perplexity’s AI assistant while browsing the web.
Voice Mode and Summaries on Comet Browser
Similar to its desktop counterpart, Comet’s Android app allows users to utilize voice mode for discussing tab information and requesting summaries from Perplexity. While syncing browsing history and bookmarks between mobile and desktop apps is currently unavailable, Perplexity’s Beejoli Shah mentions plans to implement this feature in the near future.
Enhanced Features Coming Soon
Perplexity is actively working on incorporating additional Comet features, such as a comprehensive voice mode and a password manager. Although users can currently utilize Android’s password manager with the browser, a built-in option will soon be available.
