Amazon AI VP departs for CoreWeave; F5 names new tech exec

Heather Parsons is the new head of Fred Hutch’s Breast Oncology Program. Parsons, an associate professor in the Clinical Research Division, will continue treating patients and researching new ways to test for cancer in blood.

Jingyi Jessica Li is the new head of the center’s Biostatistics Program and the inaugural recipient of the Donald and Janet K. Guthrie Endowed Chair in Statistics. Li is studying data-intensive research methods for cures and improved care for patients with cancer and infectious disease.

Dr. Shailender Bhatia is the inaugural recipient of the Lyn and Daniel Lerner Endowed Chair in Merkel Cell Carcinoma. Bhatia is interested in immunotherapy to reduce disease recurrence and discover treatments.

Dr. Robert Bradley is the new head of Fred Hutch’s Clinical Research Division. Bradley, an associate professor, will focus on developing new treatments and techniques for cancer patients.

Dr. Kristin Anderson is the new head of the center’s Vaccine and Infectious Disease Division. Anderson, an associate professor, will lead research on vaccines and infectious diseases, including COVID-19.
