TeamGroup Introduces T-Create Expert P35S Portable SSD Drive with Self-Destruct Feature

TeamGroup has unveiled the T-Create Expert P35S, a new portable SSD drive designed to provide users with peace of mind regarding their data security. Unlike traditional encryption methods, the P35S offers a unique self-destruct feature activated by a single button. This feature, known as the “patented one-click data destruction circuit,” utilizes innovative “chip destruction” mechanisms to ensure irreparable data wipe without any visible smoke or explosions.

While pricing and release dates for the P35S have not been disclosed, the drive will be available in capacities ranging from 256GB to 2TB. Despite concerns about accidental data loss, the drive includes safeguards to prevent inadvertent activation while in transit.

To utilize the self-destruct feature, the P35S must be connected to a computer via a USB-C cable. The activation button functions as a two-stage sliding switch, requiring varying degrees of force to initiate the process fully.

Once activated, the self-destruct sequence continues until all data is erased, even if the drive is disconnected. TeamGroup guarantees “zero data residue” to prevent any possibility of recovery, making the P35S suitable for users handling confidential or classified information.

In addition to its unique security feature, the P35S boasts impressive read and write speeds of up to 1,000MB/s through its USB-C port 3.2 Gen 2. With a compact size of just over 3.5 inches and a weight of 42 grams, the drive is both portable and powerful.
