Dead or Alive 6 Getting a New Version for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC

A new version of Dead or Alive 6 is set to be released in June for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC via Steam. Koeie Tecmo is working on polishing the game for these platforms, promising a “definitive version” that is optimized for the latest hardware. While specific details on the optimizations have not been revealed, fans can look forward to a dedicated photo mode that allows players to capture their favorite fighters from various angles using new features like ‘character position’ and ‘pose selection’.

The upcoming release will include the original roster of 24 players along with additional DLC characters such as Nyotengu, Phase 4, Momiji, Rachel, and Tamaki. Players who own the 2019 version of the game will have their saves and DLC purchases carry over to the new version. Furthermore, there will be new DLC content inspired by Ninja Gaiden 3 and other titles.

For those who are looking to try out the game for free, a free-to-play version called Dead or Alive 6 Last Round Core Fighters edition will be available. This version will include three fighters: Marie Rose, Honoka, and NiCO.

Despite the game’s tradition of featuring exaggerated physics for female characters, Dead or Alive 6 attempted to balance things out by also incorporating revealing outfits for male characters. The game received mixed reactions for its portrayal of characters, but it maintained its signature style throughout.

Additionally, a new Dead or Alive game is currently in development, with a teaser featuring a focus on the female characters’ aesthetics. The franchise continues to push boundaries in terms of character design and gameplay.
