The London-based FemTech startup Unfabled has recently secured an additional €1.4 million in funding for its women’s health platform, along with expanding its presence to 737 Boots stores across the UK. This latest funding round brings the total Seed funding for Unfabled to over €3.3 million.

One of the notable investors in this round is Arāya Ventures, led by Managing Partner Rupa Popat and supported by British Business Investments (BBI). This marks BBI’s first solo GP commitment, with the investment coming from their Arāya Super Angel Fund. The fund follows a community-powered model that aligns with Unfabled’s ethos of women supporting women.

Founder Hannah Samano emphasized the importance of prioritizing women’s health, stating that Unfabled’s success demonstrates the impact of listening to women’s needs and creating a supportive community. The partnership with Boots, which has significantly expanded Unfabled’s reach, underscores the growing recognition of women’s health as a mainstream concern.

Unfabled’s fundraising success reflects the increasing interest from investors in Europe’s women’s health and wellness sector. Similar trends have been observed across the continent, with companies like Solence in Paris and Hormona in Stockholm securing significant funding for their respective health platforms.

Rupa Popat, General Partner at Arāya Ventures, praised Unfabled for its community-driven approach to women’s health, describing it as culturally relevant and commercially promising. The brand’s rapid growth and retail success have positioned it as a key player in the UK’s women’s health innovation landscape.

Despite the significant need for advancements in women’s health, research and funding in this area have historically been lacking. Unfabled aims to address this gap by providing tailored solutions for women’s health issues, such as hormonal imbalances and menstrual symptoms.

Launched in 2021 by Hannah Samano, Unfabled is dedicated to empowering women through its platform, which is designed by and for women. The brand’s emphasis on community, data, and lived experiences sets it apart in the industry.

Unfabled’s collaboration with Boots has been a major milestone, with the brand’s Essentials supplements gaining popularity among consumers. The expansion of Unfabled’s range in Boots stores nationwide highlights the brand’s success in meeting consumer needs and trends.

At the core of Unfabled’s approach is Unfabled Labs, a community-driven process that ensures products are developed based on scientific research and consumer feedback. This methodology aims to create supplements that are not only effective but also aligned with consumer preferences.

Overall, Unfabled’s success story underscores the importance of prioritizing women’s health and creating inclusive solutions that cater to the diverse needs of women. With a strong focus on community empowerment and product innovation, Unfabled is poised to make a significant impact in the women’s health industry.
