Enhance Your Profile Pic: Animate it with AI on Facebook!

Facebook has announced the rollout of innovative AI features that allow users to animate their profile pictures and customize Stories and Memories. Users will have the capability to add animated backgrounds to text posts, enhancing their visibility in the news feed.

The animated profile pictures feature enables users to add motion to still photos using a variety of preset animations such as “natural, party hat, confetti, wave, and heart,” as stated by Meta. For optimal results, Meta recommends selecting a photo of a single person facing the camera with a clear view of their face and no obstructions. Additional animation options will be introduced gradually over the course of the year.

To revamp Stories or Memories, users can utilize the “Restyle” feature to specify changes they wish Meta’s AI to apply to the photo. Alternatively, they can choose from a selection of preset options like “anime” or “low-poly.” This functionality provides users with creative freedom to enhance their visual content effortlessly.

To elevate text posts, users can now incorporate animated backgrounds by selecting the “A” icon on a rainbow background while composing a post. This action will reveal a menu of diverse background styles, including animated and static options, allowing users to personalize their posts and make them more visually appealing.
