iOS 26.4 adds more Sleep and Vitals data to Apple Health

Apple recently unveiled iOS 26.4 beta 1, with a host of new features and updates. One of the key changes can be seen in the Health app, specifically in the Vitals metric and sleep tracking.

The Blood Oxygen feature, which was removed from the Apple Watch in January 2024 due to a patent dispute, has now made its way back into the Vitals overview in the Health app with the latest iOS update. This feature allows users to take a Blood Oxygen reading on their Apple Watch and view the results on their iPhone. This addition means that users can now track five key metrics in the Vitals chart: heart rate, respiratory rate, wrist temperature, blood oxygen, and sleep duration.

Additionally, iOS 26.4 introduces a new sleep metric in the Health app. Users can now access a breakdown of their bedtime over the last two weeks, including their average bedtime and last night’s bedtime for comparison.
