Slack for iOS gains these new Lock and Home Screen widgets

Slack has introduced a new upgrade for iPhone, featuring four exciting new widgets. Users can now enjoy three widgets on their Home Screen, with an additional widget designed for quick access from the Lock Screen.

The latest update from Slack brings a set of new widgets to enhance the user experience on iPhone. Among the new additions are a small Catch Up widget and a Status widget available in both small and medium sizes.

The fourth widget option is tailored for the Lock Screen, providing users with a convenient shortcut to the messaging app.

According to Slack, here’s a breakdown of the new iPhone widgets:

  • Catch Up: Stay updated on your unread messages and mentions directly from your Home Screen, allowing quick access to Slack’s Catch Up feature.
  • Status: Two Home Screen widgets offer the ability to navigate to Status swiftly on Slack or choose from a menu to indicate your focus, take a break, or have lunch.
  • Lock Screen: With this launcher on your Lock Screen, you can now jump directly into Slack without the need to locate the app on your Home Screen.

To enjoy these new widgets, ensure you have the latest version of Slack installed on your iOS device. Simply long-press on your Home or Lock Screen to discover and add the new widget options.
