Enhanced Security: Amazon’s Ring Partners with Flock for Advanced Video Surveillance Integration

Local US Law Enforcement Can Now Request Ring User Video Footage
Ring, a popular home security company, has introduced a new feature that allows local US law enforcement agencies using Flock’s platforms Nova or FlockOS to request video footage from Ring users through the Neighbors app. To make a request, law enforcement must provide details about the alleged crime, its time and location, and a unique investigation code. These requests will be visible to all Ring users in specific areas of interest through the Neighbors app feed.
Participation in Community Request Program Is Optional
Ring emphasizes that participation in the Community Request program is entirely optional for its users. They have the freedom to turn off notifications for these requests and can rest assured that law enforcement agencies cannot identify who receives or ignores their requests. According to Ring, the rollout of this feature will take place in the coming months.
