Enshrouded: Road to Release

As time passes, it feels like the blink of an eye could lead to significant milestones in the gaming world. Enshrouded, a survival game by Keen Games, is approaching its second early access anniversary and gearing up for its official 1.0 launch. While the exact release date is yet to be confirmed, a recent Road to Release video from the developers sheds light on what players can expect in the lead-up to the launch.

The current plan is for Enshrouded 1.0 to debut in the autumn (northern hemisphere), serving as a release window rather than a specific date. Before that, an update is scheduled for spring, introducing version 0.8 of the game. This update will focus on quality improvements, including bug fixes, polish, balancing adjustments, and the exciting addition of the Adventure Sharing feature, allowing players to share their in-game creations with others.

With the arrival of 1.0 in the autumn, players can look forward to new areas of the world map being unlocked. Adventure Sharing will also receive enhancements, such as new building elements like traps, logic components, and spawners. The game’s combat system is also undergoing improvements to deepen its technical aspects, enhance enemy behavior, balance gameplay, and introduce more variety. Additionally, post-launch free updates are promised, alongside paid expansions to further enrich the gaming experience. It’s important to note that plans may evolve during the unpredictable early access phase.

Enshrouded is currently available for early access on Steam, offering players a chance to experience the game’s evolving world firsthand. Stay tuned for more updates and exciting developments on the journey towards Enshrouded’s full release.
