iOS 26 beta 3 now available

Apple has recently revealed iOS 26, the latest major software redesign for iPhone. The third developer beta preview is now available for testing, showcasing improved performance and polish. Along with a new Liquid Glass-inspired look, iOS 26 brings a plethora of new features and functionality.

According to Apple, iOS 26 offers a stunning new design, powerful Apple Intelligence capabilities, enhanced connectivity options in the Phone and Messages apps, and exciting updates to CarPlay, Apple Music, Maps, and Wallet.

In the previous beta version, iOS 26 beta 2, there were design enhancements such as improved legibility in Control Center, better menu organization in Safari, and improved accessibility options. However, beta testers have raised concerns about the transparency of Notification Center and the odd left-align icon placement in the dock for devices with fewer than four apps.

As we move closer to the target release date, which is just two months away, evaluating the performance of beta 3 becomes crucial. Apple plans to release the first public beta version of iOS 26 in July, allowing eager customers to test the pre-release software with less risk than the developer beta.

To run iOS 26, your iPhone must be a second-generation iPhone SE, iPhone 11 or newer. Older models like iPhone XR, iPhone XS, and iPhone XS Max will only support up to iOS 18. Upgrading to a newer iPhone is necessary for access to the latest features and design. However, older iPhones will still receive security updates for some time. Apple Intelligence features require an iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, or any iPhone 16 model.
