Exciting Nintendo Direct Announcement: Not About Switch 2, But Still Worth Watching!
Exciting Nintendo Updates: No Switch 2 Yet
Nintendo fans eagerly await news on the much-anticipated Switch 2, but the company keeps surprising us with other announcements. From the Nintendo Alarmo to a Xenoblade Chronicles X remaster, and now a Nintendo Direct focused on Super Nintendo World in Universal Studios Japan, there’s always something new to look forward to. While the Super Nintendo World Direct may not directly impact our gaming lives, the mention of a new Donkey Kong Country section with a thrilling roller coaster is definitely worth checking out for some fun.
The Super Nintendo World Direct is scheduled to air later today in the US at 2pm PT/ 5pm ET. In the UK, viewers can watch the presentation on-demand from tomorrow, November 12, at 8am. However, those who can’t wait can catch the US livestream at 10pm GMT. Perhaps Nintendo thought the Donkey Kong content might be too intense for bedtime viewing? Who knows.
A few key points to note: there will be no new game reveals during the Nintendo Direct, so don’t expect a new Zelda game. And no, the Switch 2 won’t be making an appearance either. Nintendo has confirmed that the new console will be announced before the end of the fiscal year, by March 2025. Patience is key as we await further updates from Nintendo.
