Exclusive Look: The Must-Have Games of April 2026 on PlayStation Plus

An exclusive leak from Billbil-kun on Dealabs has revealed two of the upcoming PlayStation Plus Essential games for April 2026.

Leading the lineup is Lords of the Fallen from 2023, accompanied by Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream as the second featured title.

Unfortunately, our review of Lords of The Fallen was less than favorable. Describing the game as a disappointment, Jason gave it a low 4/10 rating, stating, “I desperately want to like Lords of the Fallen, but it’s the first game all year that’s actively annoyed me.” The game’s Metacritic score on PlayStation 5 stands at 70.

As for Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream, our team did not review it, and it only has 12 critic reviews on Metacritic for the PS5 version, earning a score of 68.

If the leaks are accurate, it seems like a somewhat underwhelming month for PlayStation Plus subscribers.

The current PlayStation Plus monthly games for March are still available for download and include:

• PGA Tour 2K25
• Monster Hunter Rise
• The Elder Scrolls Online
• Slime Rancher 2

All of these titles will be accessible to PlayStation Plus members from Tuesday March 3rd until Monday April 6th, 2026.

Among these games, Monster Hunter Rise is highly recommended. Described as an incredible game in our 9/10 review, Dominic praised its strong Japanese identity and streamlined gameplay that focuses on the monsters, making it one of the best games for the Nintendo Switch and a standout in the Monster Hunter series.
