Toyota Set to Unveil New Supercar Named Toyota GR GT

Toyota is gearing up to showcase its latest supercar next month, with the official name confirmed to be the Toyota GR GT. The production version of the GR GT, as seen in a leaked teaser, features a design reminiscent of the iconic 2000 GT, with a long bonnet, short overhangs, strong shoulder line, intakes on the rear fender, and a seamless roofline blending into the tail section. At the rear, the GR GT boasts a continuous LED light bar, large diffuser, and massive extractor vents.

While technical specifications for the GR GT are yet to be revealed by Toyota, Takashi Uehara, powertrain president at the company, mentioned during a recent media interaction that a twin-turbo V8 hybrid engine is in development for the flagship supercar. This engine is part of a new lineup of modular petrol engines, which will include 1.5-liter and 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder units.
