Recently, the 2026 Audi Formula 1 car made its debut at the Circuit de Barcelona in Spain, offering a first look at what’s to come in the upcoming season. In addition to Audi, Cadillac has also entered the F1 scene, conducting tests of their race car at Silverstone in the UK.

For the upcoming season, Cadillac will be equipped with a Ferrari engine, showcasing the distinctive sound of the Ferrari’s 2026 regulation engine during recent testing. Contrasting the Audi R26, the Cadillac emits a more familiar engine noise.

The anticipation surrounding the new F1 cars is palpable due to the revised regulations, particularly in terms of engine and aerodynamics. The 1.6-liter V6 turbo hybrid remains, but changes have been made to reduce the output of the internal combustion engine while tripling that of the electric motor, resulting in a 50-50 power distribution. The complicated MGU-H has been eliminated, and the Energy Recovery System (ERS) now has the capacity to recharge the battery with double the energy per lap.
