Former Force India F1 Driver Adrian Sutil Arrested on Fraud Charges

Former Formula 1 driver Adrian Sutil has recently made headlines after being arrested on allegations of fraud. Reports suggest that Sutil is being investigated for ‘aggravated joint fraud and joint embezzlement’. The Stuttgart State criminal police took him into custody and he was subsequently placed in pre-trial detention in a prison in Baden-Württemberg by a judge.

Authorities conducted raids in multiple locations including Monaco, Switzerland, and Sindelfingen before apprehending Sutil.

This is not the first legal issue Sutil has faced. He was previously convicted in an assault case and received an 18-month suspended prison sentence along with a fine of €200,000.

Throughout his Formula 1 career, Sutil competed for teams such as Spyker, Force India, and Sauber, with his final race being the 2014 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

Known for his extravagant lifestyle, Sutil is often seen driving his collection of hypercars in Monaco. Some of his prized possessions include the Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport ‘Green Rhapsody’, Bugatti Veyron Rembrandt, Mercedes SLR Stirling Moss, and a Koenigsegg Regera.
