TechCrunch Launches Build Mode: A New Podcast Franchise for Startup Founders

TechCrunch Disrupt 2025 is just around the corner, and tickets are still available for purchase. In addition to the flagship event and annual Startup Battlefield 200 competition, TechCrunch is introducing a new franchise called Build Mode.

Hosted by Startup Battlefield editor Isabelle Johannessen, Build Mode aims to be a survival guide for early-stage founders navigating the challenges of building a company from scratch. The podcast features candid conversations and tactical advice from experienced individuals in the startup ecosystem.

Starting November 13, Isabelle will host discussions with founders, VCs, and operators, focusing on themes like go-to-market strategies, fundraising, hiring, and more. Build Mode will be available on various podcast platforms, with bonus content shared on TechCrunch’s social media channels.

The trailer for Build Mode and Season One can be found on the TechCrunch website.

Season One of Build Mode will explore the journey from idea to product launch, highlighting the realities of the process. J.P. Morgan is the sponsor for the first season.

TechCrunch aims to build a community around Build Mode, where founders can support each other. The podcast will incorporate community-sourced stories, tips, and questions into future episodes.

Former listeners of the Found podcast are encouraged to join the Build Mode community, as the Found archive will remain accessible for founder interviews and insights.
