Hidden Benefits of Amazon Prime

If you’re in a rush and same-day delivery just won’t cut it, Amazon is stepping up its game with the introduction of ultra-fast 30-minute deliveries. The retail giant is currently testing this lightning-speed service in select areas of Seattle and Philadelphia, allowing customers to receive essential items in a matter of minutes.

Dubbed “Amazon Now,” this new initiative focuses on delivering household essentials at a rapid pace. While the service is currently limited to specific regions, Amazon is aiming to provide customers with the convenience of receiving their orders within 30 minutes or less.

Building on our history of delivery innovation, we are now testing an ultra-fast delivery service in parts of Seattle and Philadelphia. Amazon Now offers thousands of household essential items and groceries delivered to your doorstep in about 30 minutes or less.

While Amazon already offers same-day delivery to Prime members for free on qualifying orders, Amazon Now comes with an additional cost. Prime subscribers can expect to pay a starting fee of $3.99 per order, while non-Prime members will be charged $13.99. There is also a $1.99 “small basket fee” for orders below $15, making it more cost-effective to purchase multiple items rather than single items.

The selection of eligible items for Amazon Now includes a wide range of categories such as groceries, personal care products, household essentials, and seasonal items. Customers can find the “30-Minute Delivery” option on the Amazon app or website to check if they are within the delivery area.

Amazon’s goal with Amazon Now is to provide customers with a faster and more convenient delivery option, competing with other delivery services like DoorDash and Instacart. This initiative marks Amazon’s latest attempt to enhance its delivery services, following previous ventures such as the one-hour delivery service Kozmo and the two-hour delivery service Prime Now.

While the expansion of Amazon Now beyond Seattle and Philadelphia is still uncertain, the company is focused on establishing a more efficient logistics chain to support rapid deliveries. By strategically locating facilities closer to customers, Amazon aims to ensure quick and safe deliveries within the 30-minute timeframe.

As Amazon continues to innovate and improve its delivery services, customers can expect more convenient and faster options for receiving their orders in the future.
