Google Gemini Goes Mobile: Introducing the iPad App

Google Gemini now has an iPad app

Gemini has introduced an iPad app, following the recent additions of lockscreen and homescreen widgets. Additionally, Audio Overviews are now available in multiple languages.

Google initially launched a standalone Gemini app on iOS in November, which replaced the integrated Search experience. However, the initial version was only available for the iPhone, resulting in a less-than-optimal experience on the iPad. The latest update now brings a full-screen, optimized iPad app that provides a better user interface and experience, similar to Android tablets and the Gemini website.

The homescreen design remains minimalist, and reading chats is now more spacious and visually appealing. The fullscreen Gemini Live feature offers a simple user experience. Furthermore, this native app enables Split View multitasking on the iPad.

  • Gemini now offers a full-screen, optimized iPad app.
  • Homescreen widget integration is now available for Gemini.
  • Gemini can now sync with your Google Photos library.
  • Various UI enhancements and bug fixes have been implemented.

In other Gemini-related news, Google is expanding its Audio Overviews feature to over 45 languages globally, following its initial launch in English. Additionally, following the recent expansion of NotebookLM, users can now access podcast-style discussions about uploaded files and Deep Research reports.
