Google Pixel 10a: A Colourful Ranking
Google is set to unveil its Pixel 10a mid-range smartphone on 18 February, and the leaks have given us a glimpse of what to expect.
Thanks to various leaks, the design of the Google Pixel 10a is no longer a mystery. Essentially, it will bear a strong resemblance to the Google Pixel 9a.
The latest leak revolves around the color options for the Pixel 10a.
Android Headlines has released renders of all four color options that are expected to be available for Google’s upcoming mid-range smartphone.
At first look, these colors may seem like another shared design element with the Pixel 9a. However, upon closer inspection, three of the four color options have unique characteristics that justify new names.
Just like we did before the launch of the Pixel 10, here are the four Pixel 10a colors, ranked in order of preference based on personal taste.
4. Obsidian
It would be hypocritical to criticize modern smartphone design for being mundane and then rank the unchanged color in the Pixel 10a range anything other than last. The familiar shade in question is Obsidian, which is essentially a fancy term for black. Let’s move on…

3. Fog
Kudos to Google for venturing beyond its usual Porcelain color range. The decision to theme their standard off-white model around a weather type associated with dullness and gloom might not be the best PR move, but this is the kind of subtle color that requires an in-person evaluation before passing judgment. My thoughts on Fog are somewhat unclear.

2. Lavender
If there’s a color that can be considered a ‘flagship color,’ it would have to be Lavender. This color has been featured in Google’s early teaser images. It appears to be deeper and bluer compared to the slightly pale Iris option of the Pixel 9a (title image), and is more similar in tone to the appealing Indigo shade of the Pixel 10.

1. Berry
The Berry color has been described as a “radioactive coral finish” by TA Managing Editor Chris Martin, a sentiment that I agree with. While it may not be my personal favorite, it is undeniably the most vibrant and eye-catching color in the Pixel 10a range. It is much bolder than the Peony color of the Pixel 9a. It’s reminiscent of the aftermath of a lively nine-year-old’s birthday party, which adds a touch of fun to the mix.
