Google is now offering broader access to its Search Live feature, which allows users to search for information using their voice and camera. This AI search assistant is now accessible in over 200 countries and territories, supporting multiple languages, as announced recently.

Search Live Available in More Countries

The Search Live feature was initially launched in the US last September, enabling users to point their phone cameras at objects and ask questions out loud, such as guidance on installing a shelving unit. The AI assistant responds with audio feedback and relevant web links.

Google Introduces Gemini 3.1 Flash Live AI Model

Google is expanding Search Live globally with its advanced Gemini 3.1 Flash Live audio-focused AI model, which boasts multilingual capabilities. This new model enhances response speed and delivers more natural and intuitive conversations, enhancing user experience.

How to Access Search Live

To experience Search Live, users can launch the Google app on Android or iOS and select the “Live” option below the search bar. Alternatively, Search Live is also accessible through Google Lens for added convenience.

Translate Real-Time Feature Expands to iOS

In addition to these updates, Google is introducing Translate’s real-time translation feature to iOS devices. This feature allows iPhone users to capture speech in real-time and receive translations through their headphones. The feature is expanding to more regions, including Germany, Spain, France, Nigeria, Italy, the UK, Japan, Bangladesh, and Thailand.
