CEO Ruth Bosse expressed, “Our platform enables cities to make informed decisions and take swift climate action. With the development of AI-powered Climate Intelligence, we aim to further accelerate local climate initiatives.”

In a broader context, several other European climate-focused software and data-driven startups have also attracted funding in recent years. These startups focus on tools that aid in emissions reduction, optimization, and sustainability intelligence.

Ark Climate’s pre-Seed funding round aligns with the growing trend of digital solutions addressing emissions measurement, optimization, and climate infrastructure in Europe. The company’s focus on municipal climate action sets it apart in a market where sustainability tools continue to attract financial support and strategic partnerships.

With the backing of €2.1 million, Ark Climate plans to enhance its platform to cater to the evolving needs of its customers. Founded in 2024, the company has already partnered with 43 German municipalities to support their journey towards climate neutrality.

Municipalities across Germany are under increasing pressure to implement local climate actions, with responsibilities ranging from district heating to public transport.
