Live Streaming on NFL Game Pass with DAZN
NFL Game Pass is the official online streaming service for NFL games in the UK, similar to a Netflix for American football. It allows viewers to watch games live or on demand throughout the season, accessible on the web or through various devices with the app.
Game Pass is now hosted on DAZN after moving a couple of seasons ago (no DAZN plan required). DAZN is a global sports streaming service available worldwide except for the USA and China.
In 2025, viewers can expect the same offerings, including US broadcast for commentary and halftime analysis. The service also includes NFL shows like Hard Knocks and A Football Life, with games available for download and offline viewing.
DAZN is compatible with various devices, offering apps for Android, iOS, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Google Chromecast, and gaming consoles like PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
The free plan has been replaced with the Season Pro Ultimate option, a new premium subscription offering exclusive features:
- Multiview – watch up to 4 games simultaneously
- Stream on 5 devices in 2 locations simultaneously
- HDR & Dolby 5.1 Surround Sound (select games)
- Alternative feeds, including ManningCast, Prime Vision, and Slimetime
- 20% one-time code for NFL Shop
- Exclusive ballot for international NFL tickets
Subscriptions for Season Pro and Season Pro Ultimate can be paid annually, monthly, or weekly, with the following prices:
- Weekly Pro – £15.99 per week
- Weekly Pro Ultimate – £17.99 per week
- Season Pro – £17.99 per month
- Season Pro Ultimate – £19.99 per month
- Season Pro annual – £169.99
- Season Pro Ultimate annual – £189.99
Regardless of the subscription chosen, viewers can enjoy regular season and postseason games, the Super Bowl, live RedZone, and more:
- Live coverage of NFL Draft rounds 1-7
- Highlights from previous seasons and full game replays
- NFL originals and programs including Hard Knocks
Understanding NFL Blackout Games
One limitation of Game Pass is the presence of broadcasting blackout rules, which restrict live viewing of certain games. Sky Sports has priority for specific games, making them available on Game Pass 24 hours later.
According to DAZN, two Sunday games each week (one 6 pm and one 9 pm kickoff) will be subject to blackout. However, the following games will not be affected by blackout:
- All Monday, Thursday, and Sunday night games
- All U.S. Thanksgiving Day games (Thursday 27th November)
- All Playoff games
- Super Bowl LIX
- Any postseason games
Despite blackout restrictions, viewers can use Game Pass internationally without a VPN, except when in the US or China.
How to Watch NFL for Free (Channel 5)
For UK NFL fans looking for cost-effective options, Channel 5 has expanded its coverage of the sport. Previously limited to Monday night games, Channel 5 now broadcasts NFL games on Sundays as well.
The new multi-year deal with Channel 5 allows viewers to enjoy Sunday games, including 6 pm and 9 pm kickoffs. However, Sky Sports retains priority selection for these slots, with the later kickoff aired on 5 Action, a digital-only channel.
Hosted by Dermot O’Leary, Sam Quek, and Osi Umenyiora, Channel 5’s NFL coverage features a unique format for the earlier game called ‘NFL: Big Game Night.’ This format involves teams of friends and family competing in the studio, representing teams on the field and scoring when their team has possession of the ball.
During the 2025 season, Channel 5 will also broadcast the following, all free-to-air:
- International NFL London and Dublin Games
- Thanksgiving Day specials
- Three playoff games
- Super Bowl 2026
If you are traveling during a game, refer to our guide on watching Channel 5 from abroad.
NFL Game Pass on Amazon Prime Video and YouTube
New for this year is the option to access Game Pass on Amazon Prime Video (200+ games) or YouTube (250+ games) as an add-on channel subscription.
On YouTube, the subscription costs £31.99 per month with the option to cancel anytime or £169.99 for the season. However, access to the DAZN app is not available on YouTube.
Game Pass on Amazon Prime Video is accessible in the UK, Germany, France, Australia, Mexico, and Brazil at a flat rate of £31.99 per month with the option to cancel anytime.
Tip: Opting for the full season option on YouTube provides better value.
Watching NFL on Sky Sports
Sky remains the primary destination for NFL coverage on broadcast TV in the UK. With a dedicated channel on Sky Sports (Sky 407 / Virgin Media 507), viewers can catch the games on Main Event as well.
A recent three-year deal has expanded Sky’s NFL coverage, offering nearly 50% more games. Sky now has the first pick of games at 6 pm and 9 pm kickoffs over Channel 5, with additional games available on channels like Sky Sports+ and Mix during those slots.
Some weeks may feature three simultaneous games at the 9 pm slot, a first for Sky Sports. The network will also broadcast all NFL International games in London and Europe, including Ireland and Spain.
Regular features such as Thursday Night Football, Sunday Night games, Monday Night Football, live NFL RedZone, Thanksgiving games, playoffs, Pro Bowl, Super Bowl, Fantasy Live, NFL Network content, and shows from NFL Films and NBC Sports remain available.
Sky Sports
If you are a Sky customer with Sky Sports, simply tune into the NFL channel when games are on to watch them live. Alternatively, use Sky Go to stream the games.
For non-satellite customers, Now (previously Now TV) offers the option to watch NFL on various devices, including smartphones and consoles, with a Now Sports membership. Day Membership starts at £14.99 for 24 hours, while the Month Membership is priced at £34.99 per month.
For enhanced viewing quality in Full HD and Dolby 5.1 surround sound, consider adding Now Boost for £6 per month. The Ultra Boost option at £9 per month provides 4K Ultra HD quality, Dolby Atmos sound, and the ability to stream on three devices simultaneously.

Watching NFL in the US without Cable
While this guide focuses on the UK, viewers in the US have numerous options for watching NFL games, which are broadcasted across various channels like Fox Sports, NBC, CBS, ESPN, ABC, NFL Network, and now Amazon Prime Video.
For a more streamlined viewing experience, consider NFL+, the official streaming service offering live local and primetime games on mobile devices. Subscribing to NFL+ Premium provides access to Red Zone and game replays, starting at $6.99 per month with a 7-day free trial.
Other options in the US include SlingTV, YouTube TV, Hulu+ Live TV, and games on Peacock via NBCUniversal. For more information, refer to our comprehensive guide on PCWorld.
For a simple and cost-effective solution to access NFL games on any TV, consider using a digital antenna. Major networks like CBS, Fox, NBC, and CBS broadcast games every Sunday, allowing free viewing without modern features like recording or pausing.
Watching NFL Abroad with a VPN
While services like Sky Go and Channel 5 are geographically restricted outside the UK, viewers can still watch NFL games while abroad using a VPN service like NordVPN. By masking your IP address with a UK server, you can access Sky’s services and watch the games from anywhere.
Alternatively, using a VPN to appear as browsing from the US allows access to US services, though watching NFL from the UK may be more convenient and cost-effective.
