Huawei has recently unveiled its latest flagship foldable phone, the Mate X7. This new iteration builds upon the success of the previous Mate X6 model, focusing on enhanced durability and improved photography capabilities. One of the standout features of the Huawei Mate X7 is its camera system. The device boasts a 50Mp 1/1.28-inch Ultra Lighting HDR Camera, which offers exceptional light-capturing capabilities compared to competitors like the iPhone 17 Pro Max. Additionally, it includes a 40Mp ultra-wide lens and a 50Mp telephoto macro camera, along with a second-gen ‘True-to-Color Camera’ that enhances color accuracy by 43%.

Additionally, the device features a 6.49-inch outer LTPO OLED display with a resolution of 2,440 x 1,080 (FHD+), a peak brightness of 3,000 nits, and a 120Hz refresh rate.

Regarding battery capacity, the Mate X7 is equipped with either a 5,600mAh or 5,300mAh battery, offering improved longevity compared to its predecessor. The device supports 66W wired charging and 50W wireless charging for quick and convenient power replenishment.

While Huawei has not emphasized the processor details, the Mate X7 is powered by the Kirin 9030 Pro chipset. Despite being limited due to US sanctions, Huawei highlights the device’s “SuperCool Ultra-Large VC & Graphene Heat Dissipation System” to ensure optimal performance. This system includes a 3,550 mm² vapour chamber for efficient heat dissipation.

Availability of the Huawei Mate X7 may be limited, with a focus on European markets and color options in Nebula Red and Black. Unfortunately, the device may not be available in the UK, which is disappointing considering its impressive specifications.

Alongside the Mate X7, Huawei has introduced a range of other products, including the Huawei FreeClip 2 earbuds, MatePad 11.5 S tablet, and WiFi Mesh X3 Pro router. The FreeClip 2 earbuds feature a lightweight design, dual-driver setup, three-mic call noise cancellation, and IP57 certification, catering to users seeking a high-quality audio experience.

The MatePad 11.5 S tablet offers a PaperMatte Display that reduces glare, bundled with an M-Pencil Pro stylus and magnetic keyboard for enhanced productivity. On the other hand, the WiFi Mesh X3 Pro router boasts Wi-Fi 7 support and impressive dual-band peak speeds of up to 3.6 Gbps.

Additionally, Huawei is launching the Huawei Watch Ultimate Design, featuring a unique purple ceramic bezel with 18K gold inlay design and specialized features for deep-sea divers. The watch is set to release in the UK on January 15 at a premium price of £2999.99.
