Hyundai Collaborates with BigTime for Off-Road Ioniq 9 Concept at SEMA

Hyundai and the BigTime YouTube channel have joined forces to introduce an off-road Ioniq 9 concept at the SEMA show. This unique vehicle boasts upgrades such as a lifted suspension, white OZ Racing wheels, and all-terrain BFGoodrich tires.

The collaboration aimed to give the Ioniq 9 an aggressive off-road appearance with enhanced capabilities for rough terrains. The project was spearheaded by Jeremiah Burton and Zach Job from BigTime, who partnered with Hyundai to transform the luxurious Ioniq 9 Calligraphy model.

The Ioniq 9 Calligraphy, with a starting price of $76,560, features a powerful dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup, generating 422 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque.

The customization process involved fitting a lifted suspension to accommodate new BFGoodrich all-terrain tires and OZ Racing wheels, giving the Ioniq 9 a sporty and rugged look.

The addition of an auxiliary light bar on the roof of the Ioniq 9 Big Time concept enhances visibility on night trails, while the brown wrap and tan livery give it a vintage 1970s aesthetic.

The color scheme was inspired by a 1977 Kenworth Cabover semi truck, purchased by the YouTuber team for a previous channel project.

The BigTime Concept features prominent branding with a large Hyundai logo on the hood and “Big Time” script on the back door and fenders. The concept offers a refreshed look and playful attitude, hinting at a potential production model with minimal impact.
