Hyundai Teases Next Electric Vehicle Set for 2026 Brussels Motor Show

Hyundai has released a teaser image and some intriguing details about its upcoming electric vehicle (EV) that is scheduled to debut at the 2026 Brussels Motor Show in Belgium. The event is slated to run from January 9 to 18.

The teaser image showcases the Hyundai logo and a horizontal light band, reminiscent of the latest Staria model, which recently underwent a facelift in South Korea and is expected to receive an update in Australia in 2026.

While specific powertrain details have not been confirmed, Hyundai previously hinted at an electric version of the Staria as a potential competitor to EVs like the Volkswagen ID.Buzz and Ford E-Tourneo.

According to Hyundai’s teaser, the Brussels Motor Show will unveil “a new EV model that supplements the brand’s existing lineup from Inster to Ioniq 9.”

The teaser also hints at the “world premiere of its biggest EV yet,” which could refer to either the significance of the upcoming EV or potentially its physical size in comparison to existing models like the Ioniq 9 SUV.

Hyundai’s current lineup of EVs in Australia includes models such as the Inster, Kona Electric, Ioniq 6, Ioniq 5, Ioniq 5 N, and Ioniq 9. The brand has also previewed the Ioniq 3 electric hatch with the Concept Three, with production expected to begin in Turkey in 2026.

Earlier this year, Hyundai Australia acknowledged challenges in selling EVs locally but expressed commitment to expanding its EV lineup without engaging in price wars with competitors.
