Instagram Resolves Password Reset Email Glitch
Instagram Password Reset Email Issue Resolved
If you were among the many individuals who recently received a password reset email from Instagram, rest assured that the company has addressed the issue. While the exact nature of the problem remains unclear, Instagram has confirmed that it has been resolved. Despite our attempts to seek clarification from Meta, the parent company of Instagram, no response has been received. Instagram has assured users that the emails triggered by an “external party” can be safely disregarded.
In an announcement made on X, Instagram stated that the issue has been rectified and emphasized that there was no breach of their systems. However, conflicting reports from Malwarebytes suggest otherwise. According to Malwarebytes, sensitive information from 17.5 million Instagram accounts, such as usernames, physical addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses, was found on the dark web.
