Introducing the OnePlus Pad Go 2: The Ultimate Budget Tablet
When it comes to OnePlus, most people think of their smartphones, but their foray into the tablet market should not be overlooked. The OnePlus Pad 3, a mid-range tablet, made waves upon its release earlier this year. Now, OnePlus is targeting budget-conscious buyers with their new offering.
The OnePlus Pad Go 2 is now available for purchase in the UK, with a starting price of £269 (RRP £319). This tablet offers several compelling features, including 5G support, a first for OnePlus tablets. However, to access this feature, you’ll need to opt for the 256GB storage variant priced at £349.
The device sports a 12.1-inch 2.8K display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Dolby Vision support, a significant upgrade from its predecessor, the original Pad Go, which featured an 11.3-inch 2.4K display with a 90Hz refresh rate.
In addition to finger input, the Pad Go 2 also supports the optional OnePlus Pad Go 2 Stylo pen for enhanced interaction with the display.
One standout improvement is the increased battery capacity of 10,050mAh, offering extended battery life. The device supports 33W charging, although it still takes some time to charge from 0-100%.
Running on OxygenOS, the same software as the OnePlus Pad 3, the Pad Go 2 offers a range of AI features. Exclusive functionalities, such as a math equation solver within the Notes app, further enhance the user experience.
Competing with the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Tab A11+ and Xiaomi Pad 7, the OnePlus Pad Go 2 presents a compelling option in the tablet market.
For those interested in a OnePlus smartwatch but hesitant to invest in the Watch 3 priced at £319, OnePlus offers an alternative with the Watch Lite. Priced at £159 (usually £179), this smartwatch provides a more affordable entry point into the wearable technology space.
The Watch Lite features a stainless steel case with a slim profile of 8.9mm and weighs only 35g. It boasts a 1.46-inch AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 3000 nits.
Equipped with the same sensors as the Watch 3, including ECG capabilities, the Watch Lite offers a full range of features compatible with both iPhone and Android devices. It runs on OnePlus’ RTOS system, providing up to 10 days of battery life.
Competing with OnePlus’ Watch 2R, which is often discounted from its launch price of £249, the Watch Lite aims to carve out its place in the smartwatch market.
