With the unveiling of the Le Mans GTR and S1 LM at Pebble Beach in August 2025, Gordon Murray Automotive (GMA) introduced the world to its ‘Special Vehicles’ division. These two models marked the beginning of a new era for Gordon Murray Special Vehicles (GMSV).

Excitement is building as rumors swirl about another limited-edition supercar in the works at GMSV. Set to be revealed at The Quail, this upcoming model is expected to follow in the footsteps of its predecessors, offering a unique blend of performance and luxury.

While details about the new special edition remain scarce, speculation suggests it could be a reimagining of the iconic S1 LM. Reports indicate that production will be limited to just 64 units, adding to the exclusivity of this high-performance machine.

The GMSV S1 LM, inspired by Gordon Murray’s legendary Le Mans-winning race car, features a distinctive design with a lowered roofline, bespoke aerodynamic elements, and a race-ready cockpit with a central driving position. Crafted from ultra-lightweight carbon fiber, the S1 LM exudes a sense of speed and agility.

Powering the S1 LM is a formidable 4.3-liter V12 engine, capable of revving up to 12,100 rpm and producing over 700 horsepower. Paired with a manual gearbox, this engine delivers an exhilarating driving experience that harkens back to the golden age of motorsport.

Unlike the upcoming model, only a select few S1 LMs have been crafted, making each one a rare and coveted collector’s item. In fact, one of the initial production units fetched an impressive $20.6 million at auction, underscoring the timeless appeal and value of Gordon Murray’s creations.
