iPhone iOS 26 Developer Beta 1: Get Your Hands on the Latest Features Now
iOS 26 Beta 1 for iPhone Now Available for Developers
Apple has announced the release of iOS 26 beta 1 for iPhone, which is now available for developers. The unveiling took place during Apple’s WWDC 2025 keynote event, where the tech giant introduced the next major software update for iPhone users. iOS 26 marks a significant shift from the previous version numbering system, with each Apple operating system now being named after the upcoming year.
Users can access the update through an over-the-air software update in the Settings app on devices with the developer beta software option enabled.
The highlight of iOS 26 is its major redesign, featuring a new design language known as Liquid Glass, replacing the look introduced in iOS 7. The software update is set to be available on iPhone 11 and later models later this fall. Apple has initiated public testing of iOS 26 through its beta program, starting with developers. This allows app developers to prepare their software to leverage the latest features and designs upon the final release of iOS 26 in the fall.
It is important to note that iOS 26 beta 1 is a pre-release version of the iPhone operating system. As a result, some announced features and changes may be missing, unstable, or incomplete. Users may also experience issues with third-party apps when running iOS 26 beta 1. Apple advises users to only use iOS 26 beta 1 on hardware dedicated to testing developer beta software.
Additionally, Apple offers a public beta program aimed at early adopters who wish to test the new software and provide feedback before the final release. While these releases tend to be more stable, users should still exercise caution when using pre-release software.
